Mary Barry

" now we all know that East Coast music encompasses more than traditional Celtic music. A case in point is St. John's native Mary Barry, who writes and sings songs in two languages spanning jazz, blues, roots, country, cabaret, chanson, and worldbeat...with a versatile, expressive voice that strikes to the heart of whatever style of song she is performing." (The Record)

Many of Mary's fans know her well as a performer and recording artist but did you know that she has also been a vocal teacher and award winning voice-over artist for over 30 years?

While still instructing individuals and groups in person, the Pandemic has allowed Mary to expand her studio to a new online platform. Thanks to Music NL and their PressON program, she is launching her online 'Vocal Express'.

"Mary Barry is a gifted voice teacher with many tools at her fingertips. She is a gifted singer and songwriter and

I  believe her experience enhances her great ability to teach and guide her students with confidence and originality.

My experience with Mary was a joy!"

-Corrine Koslo, Jesse Award winning singer/actor in 'Mama Mia' and cast member of CBC's 'Anne with an E'.
